About Zivana Sabili

Zivana Sabili, M.Psi., Psikolog is a clinical psychologist for adults and a sex educator. Currently, she practices at Confida, a co-owned private practice that she established in Jakarta together with her business partner, Ivan Sujana, M.Psi., Psikolog, in early 2025. Through Confida, Zivan provides counseling service and various collaborations in sexual-reproductive health advocacies. Below is the timeline of her academic and career journey.
Enrolled in an undergraduate study program at Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Indonesia (2012)
Initiated & led a sexual-reproductive health awareness project in form of menstrual hygiene advocacy through the art of origami during the Asia-Pacific Rim Universities’ undergraduate summer program at Universiti Malaya, Kualalumpur (2015)
Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Indonesia, after completing an undergraduate thesis under the theme of sexuality and psychological wellbeing (2016)
Started a career as a sex educator by writing articles on sexual-reproductive health, as well as partaking in relevant trainings / courses (2019)
Became a public speaker for events related to sexual-reproductive health awareness, both in online and offline platforms (2021)
Enrolled in a master’s program on clinical psychology at Universitas Indonesia (2021), graduated with a thesis on sexual violence, took an oath as a clinical psychologist & received her license (2024)
Established Confida as a co-owned private practice with Ivan Sujana, M.Psi., Psikolog (2025), which provides counseling, psychotherapy, sex education, and various workshops
As a clinical psychologist for adults, Zivan handles a wide range of cases, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, adaptation problems, interpersonal conflicts, and grief. Besides general mental health problems, her personal strength as a therapist lies on the area of human sexuality. Related cases that falls under her expertise include the following areas:
- Sexual desire
- Sexual violence
- Relationship power dynamics
- Psychological problems related to reproductive health issues (family planning, contraception, menstruation, infertility, etc.)
- Psychological problems related to the bioethics of reproductive technologies usage (egg cells / sperm donation, surrogacy, etc.)
As a sex educator, Zivan has 5 years of experience writing articles on sexual and reproductive health as well as sharing knowledge through seminars, online classes, and educational videos. Previously, she built her expertise in the field of sexuality and reproductive health by enrolling herself in several non-degree programs. Several courses that she had completed included Human Reproduction Course from University of Adelaide, International Women’s Health from Stanford Online, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse from UNHCR, Genetic Counseling Course from Wellcome Connecting Science, and Bioethics of Reproductive Technologies and Genetics from HarvardX through edX platform.
